Before applying to Shahid Beheshti University (SBU), you should make sure that you can afford to study at the university and finance yourself for duration of the programme of your choice. SBU spares no effort to make education at the university financially affordable to the international students. There are two sources that govern prices for those admitted to SBU.

Tuition Fees

The tuition fees for international students commencing in 2020-2021 have been approved as what follows. The fees you see listed will get a 10-20% increase each year for those starting next academic years.
Note: The tuition fees are in the official currency of Iran, Rials (IRR)

Notes:
Upon the discretion of the Board of Directors, the SBU’s scholarship which cut up to 20 % off the tuition fees, will be granted for applicants with the following conditions:
  • Applicants who are from Islamic or neighboring countries will receive up to 15% discount on their tuition fee.
  • Applicants who come from the same family, either by marriage or blood, will receive up to 15% discount on their tuition fee.
  • Students of Persian Language and Literature and Iranology will receive up to 20% discount on their tuition fee.

Expenses

The minimum resources needed for living at SBU per year may cost approximately €1,800, depending on your lifestyle including accommodation, food, transportation and other expenditures (excluding tuition fees). This condition is for a single person that is accommodated in SBU`s Campus and you should allow for increases in subsequent years. Your living expenses may be higher if, for instance, you stay at SBU during the vacations.
