The CWTS Leiden Ranking 2018 ranks Shahid Beheshti University 670 amongst world universities in terms of index of scientific production. The institute also ranks the university 671 amongst world universities in terms of publishing in the top 10% highly cited publications. According to QS University Rankings 2019, Shahid Beheshti University is ranked 5th among the universities of Iran.
